Apparently people don't realize the Stalinist regime outlived the Third Reich by a considerable amount of years. Nazi body count far higher.
Would have to do some math, but I'm fairly sure USSR pop. also vastly exceeded that of Nazi conquests.
Stalin was evil, but it isn't close.

I certainly agree 'it isn't even close' but as to what historically happened being not-so-evil-as-Hitler doesn't seem like reason to rejoice
