Strongly disagree with the premise. In Norway there are shared values but (mostly) freedom to dissent. Sweden, OTOH, took a Googlesque path.

Freedom to dissent is always up to a point. Then suddenly you walk off a cliff.

I'm OK if people with very different beliefs find a given environment oppressive. My issue is when all non-majority constituents do as well.
E.g. I just laugh when neolibs complain about the Norwegian labour code, but if all non-labour elements did it might be bad. Yet they don't.
