I'm stunned at the gullibility of people in how taken we are with public appearances. e.g. spats b/w and various academics.

Whatever one thinks of him, it's clear from a cursory investigation of his work (or twitter feed) that Taleb is acting deliberately.
And that whatever backlash he incurs is mere marketing for him & his ideas. Yet 'intelligent' people fall for it every single time.
People who are this illiterate in network effects should not throw stones about ignorance and stubbornness, lest they ricochet...
