On point b, women may be less represented in interest in tech, for whatever reason. But those who are... no difference in avg. aptitude.

And besides, taking the a-priori stance that it MUST be sexism narrows both the understanding of what needs fixing and how to fix it.

It gives much power to bad-faith actors. Political firing? 'He was sexist.' Getting rid of dissenters? 'Sexists!' Nepotism? 'Diversity!'
