Disgust is weirdly powerful in humans; I can see the safety aspect, but I wonder how we ever came to eat such a variety of things..!

The sad thing for me is how easily it's applied to it humans… it seems a needlessly cruel aspect of our species.

most people do have empathy though. Although we tend to be less empathetic towards people we see as 'other tribe'

love is the default human emotion: IF you aren't scared. Most people are scared, all the time. I'm just scared half the time. ;)

Love and empathy are not commonly understood to be the same thing, AFAIK.
But yes, I bask in love most of the time. Empathy... not as much.
