It's interesting that the sexiness of the sex robot story is so much more mainstream than actual sex robots.

Disgust is weirdly powerful in humans; I can see the safety aspect, but I wonder how we ever came to eat such a variety of things..!

The sad thing for me is how easily it's applied to it humans… it seems a needlessly cruel aspect of our species.

it becomes a problem in a global world. We're not wired to have empathy at scale. Evolution didnt need it, until now

Even advanced meditators don't always have empathy at scale. It's not easy

Empathy at scale is a pipedream, but I guess you mean compassion/effective altruism.
Ain't got bits for all ya feelings, yo.
love is the default human emotion: IF you aren't scared. Most people are scared, all the time. I'm just scared half the time. ;)

Love and empathy are not commonly understood to be the same thing, AFAIK.
But yes, I bask in love most of the time. Empathy... not as much.

Yep, love and compassion at scale are a lot easier, maybe bc the state can be unconditional towards all beings
empathy is conditional - it's more than a state, it requires computation of people's emotions. Not enough bits for all
