Not my experience at all. And I've done a ton of suffering and a ton of cultivation and been poor as hell while working hard.

Mh. A lot of this stuff has more to do with acute vs. chronic stress more than Maslow.
Acute stress is good for you. Chronic stress kills.

Acute stress which you /handle/ is good for you. If you don't, it isn't.

Most acute stressors are too small to be bad, but increase fitness. We've cut vast amounts of those as well.

We use our muscles/skeletons less, we have air conditioning, we overmedicate.
Distinct from making world safer, which is prbly a good thing.
even endurance stuff is fairly short term. Had an arg w/someone who thought more was always better. Not even close.
elite athletes won't train more than 20 hours a week. Often quite a lot less.
