Interesting…I've yet to feel anything but satisfaction when I lost a fear. Maybe you're working at a more fundamental level.

Not being afraid of fear, creates (at least right now) some weird dissonance. "How can it be that this doesn't scare me?"

OK, I have had that, to be fair: working on a ladder three stories up and realising after a while that I'm not actively afraid any more.

Port that same feeling to being in a state of fear and realizing you're not afraid of *that* anymore. "There's fear, but who gives a fuck?"
