I can do glee instantly, loving kindness takes about 5 minutes. Anger is on tap, but I can't always turn it off instantly.

Funny how we get attached to certain feelings more than others, making it harder to turn them off.

Feel like you guys are a bit ahead of me on this. Starting to experience weird emotion-related side-effects to my practice as well, though..

There are a couple ways to do the emotion thing. It's just a trick. Detachment from emotion is far more valuable than control.

Some days it doesn't bother me if I spend the entire day upset. Other days I feel unusually charged; sensitive to even small occurences.
Ah, we are on the same page then. Step it back one pace, and look at that charge/sensitivity, detach from it.
