I can do glee instantly, loving kindness takes about 5 minutes. Anger is on tap, but I can't always turn it off instantly.

Funny how we get attached to certain feelings more than others, making it harder to turn them off.

There are a couple ways to do the emotion thing. It's just a trick. Detachment from emotion is far more valuable than control.

I meant more in the sense that I've been experiencing detachment and attachment come and go in waves. Powerful calm, followed by distress.
detachment from emotions is having them any not caring, not being calm w/o emotions.

That's actually what I meant. Body-feeling present, but no distress attached.
