Key premise is simple, however: the appropriateness of any given path is dependent on the temperament of the person taking it.

Although some thoroughly degenerate pseudo-paths lead nowhere good for anyone, many much-maligned paths are effective under the right shoes.

I would never recommend what I went through to others, but I see many people making less progress with paths that are considered wholesome.

The key lies in your personal weaknesses and strength. I never needed a path to open me up to compassion or love, but to freedom and power.

In our society the absolute norm is for people to have far to less of the former, far too much of the latter. Not me. Follow *your* path.

Whenever I see someone meek, good and caring insist they need Mahayana Buddhism to teach them compassion, I wonder... why?
