The Q of what Russia is ideologically is interesting to me. To what extent can they be said to have adopted & bought into neoliberalism?

On one hand, oligarchs've certainly bought into global capital & markets. On other, much < cultural saturation & > anti-NL cultural capital

I wouldn't call Russia a neoliberal state. Not near e.g Germany, or even Brazil. Russia's been *fucked* by it though, inc. by it's own elite

I remember reading some interesting takes on Russia's own ideological developments, parallel with neoliberalism, but I can't recall where.

But I can't find where I read it, and all the search terms I come up with are drowned in third-rate "journalists" talking about DNC hacks.

It seems to be getting worse, esp. when you factor in that Google now prefers search results that fits certain ideological parameters.
