In an enlightened society, suicide would carry no stigma. Planning for death and planning for life would not be morally charged.

I recall a conversation with my mother. I was wondering why suicide was illegal in Norway. What did it entail? Jailing corpses?

She said suicide was cowardice, and it was for dissuasion. I told her nobody owns our lives, and certainly not our corpses.
