For walking, I think there are some detailed techniques out there. I just decided to decide to walk & meditate, and it worked.

As for vipassana, the problem is it's too simple to teach easily. It ends up like that joke about aerobics:

"If we're going to charge 10$ an hour, we can't call it jumping up and down."
But it -is- just paying attention without clinging.

The end result is that the technique is so simple, the best advice is nontechnical. I like and the late Alan Watts...

I have mixed feelings abt. the Buddhist parts, but...
Pages 12 through 15 break down insight meditation, so the same style of meditation we're using. Interesting book in general, too.
But generally, anyone whose words speak to something in you and who don't overadorn their practice is good in my book. My 2 cents.
