Much ado about costs for Russia, but it isn't obvious to me that the West has won a single strategic victory in or around the Ukraine war.
Getting your own propagandized citizenry to really hate Russia/Putin isn't an accomplishment. This is basic propaganda work. They do it too.

Meanwhile the US sanctions superweapon seems to have ricocheted directly back at its owner, and just about every structural tool of the post-WW2 order is quietly disintegrating.

I see smart people left and right pointing out that the economic warfare is unsustainable for *us*, and personally, I believe them.
It's not obvious to me that the reverse is true.
