It's really weird to follow authors I admired when I was young, and a lot of them have less followers than I do, which just feels wrong. Don't people know they are important?
(To me, anyway.)

I have this with a whole bunch of late 2000s bloggers from when I was a kid reading their stuff.
"I don't even have a website, how is this fair?"

This tweet reminding me that I've reached the age where I can flip between "fuck, I'm getting old," and "fuck, I'm young," at a moment's notice.

Relative to you, always.
Relative to not having an education, vocation etc.? Eh, depends I suppose.

eh, you're still not that old, though I know it can seem otherwise. I remember going back to university at 25, having worked for 6 years.
The other students definitely felt like kids, and I felt old.

If I end up going back to uni, I will be at least 29, maybe 30.
Going to be the class grandpa.
Which is going to make it twice as satisfying when the kids can't keep up, of course.
(Yes, I am a very humble and well-adjusted person.)

makes it easier, actually. You've done real jobs, you don't need to party or play stupid social games. University is easy after real work.

True. I'd only really consider going back if I have some well-paid side gig. I don't want more debt.
Even then, it wouldn't be too bad.
