I feel like the more light you add to any object illuminated by meditation, the more idiosyncratically yours it becomes. I.e. consciousness has this fractal self-similarity where even things that seem far removed from each other semiotically will eventually overlap.

I also wonder if this isn't why people so bitterly defend their (un)orthodoxies about the enlightenment experience. Rather than accept the mystery of how profoundly strange and varied these experiences can be, it's easy to say "I am right, for everything in my universe agrees."
