Like 95% of the time if I open a video on the timeline of someone "talking sense" to some "fanatic" in "ideological capture."
I open the video, and it's just people of differently dogmatic worldviews talking past each other with no connective tissue in the conversation.

A sophist would say "maybe there is no sense", but I tend to think people just conflate good sense with their own perspective.

I don't believe that all of these people are incapable of giving balanced, nondogmatic perspectives, necessarily.
It seems more like they're too busy fighting the good fight in the exact same manner as their interlocutors.
