Scaling effects on Twitter are really funny.
Most of the time if someone is an asshole to somebody it receives no attention, but sometimes you get 100s of people digging through the offender's history to pick at them.
This usually escalates far past the level of the o.g. tweet.

If there's one thing Twitter is a good case study for, it's that it only takes a mob about 5 seconds of dispensing "justice" to escalate way past the original offense.
