Just acknowledge that tweeting as an art form is one rung down from scribbling on a rest room wall and one rung up from peeing your name in the snow.

I also don't think it's true. I think it's more like graffiti. It can be completely obnoxious and tasteless, or incredible.

Plus transitory. I think meming is an art form, also making fun of public figures is an art. Are you thinking of tweeting as a type of poetry? I see it more like making zines, maybe, but, as I said, more transitory.

What I think is beautiful about tweeting is that it has no set format other than "short text, presented as solitary or threaded, published on Twitter".
It's like its own art gallery, but most of the participants don't even realize they're in one, or producing it. I love that.

Twitter is full of boring-ass copycats, and also of solitary titans, and of small niche players (I'd consider myself to exist mostly here).
It's a very fun, enticing environment, artistically speaking. You never know what you're about to stumble upon.

You can walk into some novelty account with 1000s of tweets following some very peculiar line of production, then someone just putting their own diary stuff up, then some idiot, then some other idiot, then an actual genius.
All in one place, just a question of which URL...

I think the whole blue check phenomenon is an interesting dynamic. I mean the anti blue check sentiment and the growing antipathy for celebrity on twitter. That has potential for art IMO

Graffiti, man.
You leave your signature on the wall, but not your fucking photograph.

I also like when basic human decency and kindness comes through on twitter. You don't always have to tell celebrities or politicians to fuck off, you can also be kind or just shoot the shit.

My angerposting has become drastically less common as my interestposting has gone up.
The fewer fucks I give about strangers and their opinions, the more I am invested in my own output and nothing else.
