Every so often, I remember I want to learn French.
Then I remember I "ought to" learn more Polish.

“Ought to” is the worst possible motivation to learn a language. And especially for Polish, one needs helluva motivation to keep going.
If I were you I’d just give up already and do whatever feels exciting.
