But it's also funny to think that I virtually never used to be mean, dismissive or scornful. Never in this state.
My best self has always been the one people are most keen to label as arrogant.
If you genuinely have a belief in your own value, it's very hard to demean yourself.

So much of society, at both group and individual level, will viciously attack anyone for:
- Not rolling over for bullying
- Having a clear vision of what they care about and what they don't
- Prioritizing their own vision
- Not accepting any gods or masters imposed from above

Yet I can't help but feel that it's quite literally impossible to be a decent person, in any meaningful sense of the word, without all of that.

i have been finding i am terrifying many people recently with calm words. pointing right at their cracks. doing that too fast i guess is terrifying to them, seems to work better one tiny crack at a time, then wait for healing. i don't do slow well.
