I don't think anyone has any business recommending psychedelics for the same reason I don't think we should just surgically remove latent inhibition.
The effects run the gamut from massive increase in creativity and insight through to full-blown schizophrenia. Risky business.

YEAHHH I think it's definitely worth recommending that people *investigate* them but it's a much bigger ask for people to try them.
On the other hand, I think they're relatively safe for most ppl. whatcha think

schizophrenia from psychedelics is actually pretty rare statistically but obviously when it happens it's Not Good, but also the mainstream views schizophrenia is completely off imo. (cont)

also, Dr Malidoma Some, an African shaman, has pretty successfully treated schizophrenia by assuming that schizophrenics are shamans without the proper training and context: upliftconnect.com/the-shamanic-v

glad to help! I prep people for and understand the risks of psychedelics, happy to be a resource if they need it

I mean the guy in question has done psychedelic drugs before. The more relevant bit is that he's schizophrenic.
honestly I would love to talk to him if he's open to it, a lot of schizophrenic peeps are basically just having a psychedelic experience all the time and they often aren't given a good context for properly managing that
