Yeah it is weird how insults like that tend to be mirrored across genders. (I know that is not the point but also I can think for two seconds before nodding along to cringe.) Why is it a problem if a guy has mommy issues but not daddy issues? IME the opposite is more damaging.

Lacking a healthy model for your own gender presentation is a lot more damaging and disorienting, IME. Causes confusion over really basic social expectations on a much grander scale than the opposite, which seems to cause issues mostly in heterosexual love lives.

It's probably dumb of me to get baited by a loaded question, but I feel like being at a cultural point where loaded questions about men are just an accepted norm is even dumber. Gendered problems are shite, and much of that is on men as a group, but bad faith is bad faith.
