Seeing straight to the heart of something does not preclude you from being entirely wrong about what you're seeing.

If we see the same thing just as clearly, we are still liable to see it differently if it has any complexity to it at all.
This is obvious, and so it's constantly overlooked.

A lens untainted by empathy or experience is certainly more clear, but is clarity really the only quality you want in observation?
There is plenty of confusion to be found there as well.
