Books not including a list of referenced works so I have to give the poor thing dog ears to find them later make me sad.

Of course, I will absolutely mangle the hell out of a well-loved books with marginalia and so on, but this is a deliberate choice OK?

Do you put your name in the front too? I love doing this now. It's like a pact with a familiar and is the intermediate step that got me comfortable with my own marginalia.

Nah. For books, I prefer the anonymity.
I do something like this with actual work I do, but it's always a different fabrication, made up on the spot.
Practicing playing around with masks lately, though, so this is more of a contingent exercise.
