Disappointed to note that the thing I have gotten most wrong in my world model for the past few years was being insufficiently pessimistic.
I didn't fully anticipate the sheer rate of decay in the US. Sort of impressed, really.

yes, people always say I am pessimistic, I tell them that, judged by my record I am an optimist, just not as crazed and optimist as most other people.
