On the one hand, the notion that the US has any moral authority in questions of oppression is laughable.
On the other hand, you get a taste of what Chinese hegemony would look like.

US pretense at nobility is farcical.
Still, Russia and China responding to any and all criticism with "well somebody else did a bad so who cares lol!" is... also farcical.
There is no such thing as a noble hegemon.
