Every time I walk my dog, I run into multiple people who don't wear masks, wear them wrongly (don't cover nose, half of mouth), and walk right up to you as if there were no pandemic. In enclosed spaces you can't avoid them. Of course the rate of infection will not fall.

Public mistrust has been the norm in Poland the entire time I've been here. Almost nobody believes anything they're told by anyone not friends or family. In a lot of cases, that translates to people paying lip service to the cops (putting massk on near them) and nothing more.
