If you wanna be capable of defending yourself, probably something like BJJ and courses (even books) on situational awareness etc. is more the go-to. But boxing is still useful in dealing with the in-between of bullies and thugs (the beating you up kind, not the body count one).

I may have it stored somewhere, but not sure where. This is one of those topics my procrastination tendencies have done a real number on. I've been in the situation you are outlining in this thread, headspace-wise, for years. It's only recently I do much about stuff like that.

I'm definitely not "there" anymore, but occupying some liminal space where I drift between states and levels of overall motivation. Some days where I feel like a totally different person; plenty where it's just as difficult as ever to get shit done.
