I think people are waking up to Bezos tbh, but yeah you've got a point there. There's something to be said for not judging a book by its cover, but at the same time you can learn a lot of things about the story from what's printed on the front

Except by personal recommendation or discovery, judging a book by its cover is literally the only way I ever buy books.

Although people are a lot more complex and variable, and better at deceptive marketing.
