This is the phase that cracks my brain open before the time dilation and abiding intensity of the trip itself sets in.

Nice analogy re: eye of needle. I find the analogy of gateways to be helpful.
A bit like doing pilgrimage, except more like travelling through sacred place in the body rather than in the outer environment.....although that’s a weird example so probably very unhelpful generally.

Makes perfect sense to me. I've only ever experienced "mind palace" as a salient concept on acid.
Although less palace, more multiverse.
