The widening, opening phase of an acid trip tends to express itself as horniness for me.
"Look all these *very hot* things I have to show you..."
This is the phase that cracks my brain open before the time dilation and abiding intensity of the trip itself sets in.
It's like it's the force threading the eye of the needle.

Nice analogy re: eye of needle. I find the analogy of gateways to be helpful.
A bit like doing pilgrimage, except more like travelling through sacred place in the body rather than in the outer environment.....although that’s a weird example so probably very unhelpful generally.

Ha yeah the proverbial machine elves/messengers are flirtatious in ways analogous to the underlying sensitivity of mind, something along those lines
In meditative framework that might just be like how sights & sounds can feed into experience of bliss (can be a sticky path, mind)

Funny tidbit: in lieu of messengers, I tend to experience some sort of multiplex self where a whole cast of me-proxies start opening doors.
Also, sort of odd... like 90% of them are women.
