It's tragic how the reason anyone would "be an utilitarian" is because they're stuck in a super precise existential disposition and how they'll never learn about that because discourses on existential dispositions are only in continental books and they don't read them.

Most events in my life follow sequences straight out of Poetics or something, with all the Ancient Greek relish of things going really badly wrong for foreseeable reasons.
Sort of oddly life-affirming, now I think of it.
