I set a timer for ten minutes. Set and sat. Sat and felt. Felt my emotions for ten minutes. Excruciating. Why?

Have you just started doing this? Unprocessed stuff tends to come up first. It tends to be unprocessed because it's difficult to process. It tends to be difficult to process because it's either unpleasant, intense or both.

Depends on how you count lol. I got 7 years of therapy countless hours of focusing and journalling behind me. Like probably in the high thousands. I do *not* have a lot of direct emotional luminosity or emotional deconditioning work behind me.
