I am not quite sure. I feel like I should know this word - it's connected to understanding how someone else constructs reality, sense-makes, what information they include and what they ignore, exclude, don't perceive, or consciously & unconsciously filter, and how they choose

Replying to and
This is basically my default modality for perceiving people, and I am not high empathy at all, generally. You could construe it as cognitive empathy if you dig that dichotomy, but it's still a bit off. It's more like an intuitive mental model of that person.

I often find I have absolutely no common ground (in my mind) with these people as I perceive them, so there's no question of that, really. It's not a form of shared experience but conceptualization of possible experience. Narrative construction. It's odd.
