Learned a bit about why my therapist seems nervous around me today. Seems he has good reason. Was not really expecting that.

This may be a sign that they’re not a good match if you have a trauma history. I’ve gotten this reaction from therapists who don’t have trauma experience, but my main therapist makes it very clear that they’re both not afraid of me and will set boundaries to keep us both safe.

Somatic experiencing, EMDR, or DBT in their skill sets may be a sign that they’re trauma-informed. A good trauma therapist should be able to handle you having thoughts of threatening them and more. Obviously not going to be OK with actual harm though.

It's OK. I appreciate the concern, but the guy conducts himself well. He was giving me feedback on my self-presentation. I see no issues with handling anything I do from his side. Not that I direct any aggression towards him, either, but we are discussing some disturbing traits.
