Loving the idiotic suggestions I see every day that there are no other options in response to Coronavirus than to call it dumb or to panic.
Just do a reasonable amount of prep. Stock up on non-perishable foods, meds. Have emergency plans for old/sick relatives. Wash your hands.

Taking precautions (within your means) is not panicking. Taking no precautions whatsoever is stupid.
This isn't just about the mortality rate of the virus. Our supply chains are not built to handle this kind of event. Expect shortages as more countries are hit.
