I don't have any sympathy for Brussels over their many, many failings and diplomatic fuckups, but this line from Poland, Hungary etc. is just hilariously oblivious.

Like, obviously all you *really* are to the EU is a link in the customs union and a source of cheap, redistributable labour. Fair enough.
But if you're going to take their money and keep up a pretense of 'modernization' etc. while contributing very little, and then do this...?
