The more I learn about the Coronavirus, the nastier it looks. We'll be very lucky if this gets locked down, and we're going to need a vaccine ASAP.

Mostly the same talking points about the flu killing more people, etc. It's the wishful thinking of 'I don't want this to be my problem, so it won't be!' Some amount of prep and precautions looks sufficient to survive w/very high probability, but if people won't consider it...

Yeah, I'm not sure. I've been just picking up what flows past, but I think I'll do a deep dive Monday or Tuesday. I read today that the size is small enough that most masks don't work, for example. (And I live with other people.)

Fair point about China. I don't trust their numbers. Heard Africa and most Asian hubs are also very light on labs to test cases, adding to the obfuscation. My grandparents, who are old and frail, can easily go to the countryside and have well water + months' worth of food. But.
