I like these claims like Visa's in the quoted tweet that carry this simple optimism. "If it's shit, work on it until it's no longer shit." Simple, true, and not overpromising anything much, really. Most of us aren't going to work that hard, whether through circumstance or merit.

This last part gets overlooked or distorted so often it's a bit embarrassing, really. "Oh, just work steadily and honestly and good things will come to you? You make it sound waaaay easier than it is." No, working steadily and honestly is actually quite hard.
