Feeling a strong desire to start a farm for rescue chickens from factory farms today.

The industrial exploitation of chickens is so humongous that, at any given time, there are 3 times as many chickens on Earth as humans.
But several times more are "processed" every year.
I don't particularly think we have a moral obligation to not eat meat.
But this is fucked.

It's not as if the eggs or meat produced in this fashion are particularly nourishing, either. To say nothing of the disease vectors involved.
But we tend to have a strongly conditioned apathy towards these things.
