Your preferences are your prerogative, but the imposition of behaviors on others, which is asserted here, is not.
The only right you have there is to your own space.

Expecting people to give you space and not to question your preferences is totally fine, but you have to realize this may mean they don't want to share your space.
If they aren't obligated to you by something, you have no right to expect them to.
