It does, and it's very strange to experience from the outside. She has very minute understanding of the flaws in her own personality, but still exists inside it. Use it as a mirror, and it's pretty revealing about one's own pathologies, too. Everyone is messed up somewhere.

We are all messed up, but its amazing how nice it is to communicate and not be misunderstood. I mean nobody is perfect, but trust and good faith are really nice to experience on a daily basis.

I have reached a similar conclusion about relationships myself. Its kind of a catch22.

You need to grow to avoid hurting other people in relationships, but without being in a relationship how do you grow?

Mmh. I think this mirrors learning in most fields, though. You need an interface with reality to grow, but that interface is itself both a point of failure and source of risk.
