The more the fragility of our supply lines and infrastructure moves from black elephant to reality, the more obvious it seems: Nothing has to be disrupted. It's so far down the cascade, it will take care of itself. But life is therefore about to change drastically, fast, soon.

It's hilarious to me how much of this debate is centered around climate change. A fundamental problem: The failure modes are built into the prevailing economic paradigm. And they're only decades old. We just haven't experienced sufficient strain for something to break. Yet.
