The school system is just as dehumanizing in other countries without multiple spree killings/year.
There are some serious questions about US culture *in particular* to be answered here. Probably no one thing to blame, either.

The totemic fetishization is odd, but lots of countries have high rates of firearms ownership and marksmanship training w/o frequent spree killings.

E.g. Serbia, which is politically about as much of a joke country as the US, and in a bad way due to various outcomes of the Balkan wars.
Following the common US explanations of what causes mass shootings, they should be shooting each other constantly. Not really happening.

I have no idea! But I can tell you:
Serbs are *very* comfortable with violence, and share many socioeconomic & cultural problems with the US.
Whatever is going on in the US is a fairly unique phenomenon. Has more in common with "shithole countries" than it likes to admit.
