No but seriously, the sheer cultural inertia is infuriating. It sort of boggles the mind that politicians aren't getting mobbed in the streets.

I'm having trouble parsing the naivety it must take to see the current response to the waves of protest and think progress is being made.
These politicians should be fearing for their lives if they keep making the same policy choices. They're not.

The underlying structural problems of how stuff is made, what it's made with, for what purpose it's made, optimization for the wrong kind of efficiency...
It's such an epic clusterfuck of problems, and no country with significant consumption is close to addressing any of them.

One moment you're marching "for the climate", the next you're kidnapping coal lobbyists...
