No but seriously, the sheer cultural inertia is infuriating. It sort of boggles the mind that politicians aren't getting mobbed in the streets.

The underlying structural problems of how stuff is made, what it's made with, for what purpose it's made, optimization for the wrong kind of efficiency... It's such an epic clusterfuck of problems, and no country with significant consumption is close to addressing any of them.

So yes. My brooding over stuff like this os why I won't touch climate activism with a stick. One moment you're marching "for the climate", the next you're kidnapping coal lobbyists...
