An hour a day of pretty much any kind of meditation will loosen repressed emotional material.
The 20 minute "feeling out* is meant to slowly vent off that material specifically to stop destructive explosions. It's clear that even that slow venting is destabilising people.
Have you checked out some of the recent somatic therapies for dealing w/trauma?
Seems like supplementing the meditation with that would be a good idea for those of us who get big emotional fireworks.
I haven't but I'm very keen to. You mentioned some earlier. Can you recommend good ones? I've done therapy on and off. I find having the cash to engage coaches difficult. Issue is compounded by the fact that my relationship with money is challenging and I don't prioritize myself
EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) seems to show good results. Has the benefit of being fairly limited-duration as well.
Then you have psychomotor therapy, which I know little about, but which is endorsed by Bessel van der Kolk.
