I can tell who wants something from me before they ask. I also can tell who is capable of violence towards me.

I don't trust this 100% but I feel like I am more in touch with the sixth sense animals and children have about people.

People have it, too. It's just intuition. But it's beaten out of you in childhood in a lot of cases.
I always lived too much in my own emotional world to let go of mine.

I think I might have retained it by being abused as a small child. I know who is safe and who isn't. I can spot narcissists a mile away.

I bet. That must have stuck.
Though it's striking how often people are abused and go the other way - becoming completely blind to the difference between abusive and affiliative behaviour.
