There is an art to replying and commenting, and probably like 60-70% of people I’ve seen on the internet fail at it. The important thing is not to speak your mind, but to “support” the OP. You can support them by disagreeing well & you can “mis-support” them by agreeing stupidly

I'm always most impressed when people try to gaslight me by telling me what I know or feel.
Ok so you think I'm stupid. Fair enough. But what makes you think *I* think I'm stupid?
It can't be a coincidence that this is mostly from extremely low follower count accounts.

IME this usually comes from people who have experienced a lot of abuse or neglect in childhood, and never worked on it after.
You get this socialized expectation that people are meant to treat abusive behaviour seriously, and not take it to be an aggressive waste of their time.
